Cooking for kids in Peckham Rye

Parents in south east London take heed: If you are starting run out of ways to keep your offspring entertained, look no further than the Mini Cooking Club at The Copleston Centre this August.

Celebrating the Olympics along with Southwark Council, the Mini Cooking Club are bringing the Food for Champions Programme to Peckham Rye, where children can learn about nutrition and food in a fun, relaxed environment. They’ll be introduced to exciting ingredients and where they come from, plus try their hand at making some delicious recipes from around the world.

It’s an eight-week course, so requires some commitment, but parents are also invited to enter the kitchen to sample their children’s cuisine at the end of session (if they dare). Or, if you prefer to get your own hands dirty, you can join in with the kids at Monday’s Family Cooking classes from 11am-1pm.

The Food for Champions Programme starts on 29 August and runs until 17 October at The Copelston Centre, Copleston Road, SE15. Classes are free. Go to theminicookingclub.org.uk for more details, or email info@theminicookingclub.org.uk
