Always on the lookout for the surprising and the fun in our Capital, we were pleased to hear The Crooked Well restaurant in Camberwell have just launched an urban foraging menu.
Celebrating all that’s good about local produce, and the incredible array of edible treats on The Crooked Well’s doorstep, the venue teamed up with Nick Weston (founder of the Hunter:Gather:Cook School in Sussex) to take adventurous regulars on a foraging expedition.
Now, Head Chef Matt Green-Armytage, has put their urban foraged finds on his menu and created a selection of dishes using the very best of them.
Until the end of September, diners will be able to enjoy dishes like Fried Duck Egg with Wild Leaf and Flower Salad and Truffle Mayonnaise (above), Pan Fried Salmon Trout with Dandelion Ravioli, Sorrel Butter Sauce, Jelly Ear Fungi and Crisp Fennel, and Meadowsweet Panna Cotta with Pine Needle Jelly
