A house in Covent Garden is set to become the world’s most expensive rental property during the Olympics, with a hefty price tag of £115,000 per week.
The luxury four-storey property has seven bedrooms, six reception rooms, a terrace with retractable roof, pool and in-house bar.
With sky high hotel prices and demand outstripping supply for rental properties during the Olympics, experts have suggested that there may still be time to make the most of the estimated arrival of 11 million sporting fans, athletes and sponsors during the Olympic period.
UK property analyst James Davis explains: “Even though the Olympics is just around the corner, I don’t think it is too late for landlords to offer up their properties given the fact that there will always be a surge of last-minute Olympic visitors looking for a place to rent.”
“While the average property would not command such a high price, there is still great potential as long as prices are not too ambitious,” he added.
