If you’re stuck for something to do of a Saturday in east London and you’re feeling peckish, we’ve got the perfect thing for you.
The area’s first dedicated food and drink market sees local artisan producers selling everything from typical market fare; bread, cakes, cheese and fruit and veg, to street food stalls with homemade sausages, salt beef burgers, Japanese katsu curry and quesadillas on offer.
This being east London, you’ll also find regular art installations scattered throughout the market as well as a pop-up tea shop courtesy of The Haggerston Tearoom who will furnish you with their range of loose leaf teas and the chance to blend your own brew.
The market is from 11am to 4pm, every Saturday, and is opposite M&S on Mare St, in St John’s Church gardens. For more details, go to Hackney Homemade FOOD.
